The NATURE-DEMO project, represented by VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava, participated in the 34th Fire Protection Conference in Ostrava, Czech Republic, held on September 10-11, 2025. The conference, titled "Fire Protection 2025: Current Challenges in Fire Protection," opened with a discussion on the country's worst flood situation in history and how we can prevent and adapt to such events with nature-based solutions.
The conference emphasized that climate adaptation is a necessity, not a luxury, and that discussions about climate change and adaptation must be integrated into regular communication between government representatives and the private sector.
NATURE-DEMO was highlighted in a banner section, which familiarized participants with the basic objectives of the project.
