Perifereia Anatolikis Makedonias Kai Thrakis (PAMT) at European Experience and Local Actions-Innovative solutions through Nature Based Solutions

The working meeting titled European Experience and Local Actions-Innovative solutions through Nature Based Solutions took place in the city of Xanthi on Wednesday 04 /12/2024, in order to inform relevant officials of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the Decentralized Administration of the Region about the object, the aims and objectives of the program and to follow a discussion  on the application of the methodology known as “Nature Based Solutions”  in infrastructure works and to record the participants' familiarity with it.

The outcome of this working meeting is to increase the awareness about the methodology Nature Based Solutions to the officials of our Region and Decentralized Administration. 

To the working meeting was attended by people from the Ministry of Environment & Energy, the Decentralized Administration Macedonia and Thrace, and the Project Manager of the REMTH team,  of the project RESIST, a project how focus on research and implementation of nature-based solutions (NBS) to address five key climate challenges: heatwaves, floods, drought, biodiversity loss, and air pollution.
