NATURE-DEMO highlights nature-based solutions at the EU Mission Adaptation to Climate Change event

NATURE-DEMO recently brought its expertise in nature-based solutions to the forefront at the EU Mission Adaptation to Climate Change event.

The project's contribution to building climate-resilient infrastructure through nature-based solutions was presented, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the initiative. NATURE-DEMO unites 23 partners across Europe with a shared goal: to mainstream these vital ecological approaches.

A key aspect of the presentation focused on bridging the knowledge gap surrounding the multifaceted benefits of nature-based solutions and addressing the perceived economic uncertainties associated with their longer-term implementation. The project actively fosters co-design and collaboration with regional and local authorities to facilitate the adoption of these sustainable practices.

The impact of NATURE-DEMO is further amplified through five demonstrator sites located in Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Northern Macedonia. These real-world examples showcase the tangible advantages and co-benefits of nature-based solutions in creating climate-resilient infrastructure.
