Knowledge Exchange: NATURE-DEMO Presented at VSB-TUO’s University Journal Club

On November 24, 2024, the NATURE-DEMO project was highlighted at the University Journal Club hosted by our partner, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO). This event was a key activity in our scientific collaboration strategy, focusing on sharing high-level research within the academic community and with external innovators.

Objective: Showcasing Excellence in Research

The University Journal Club serves as a platform where presenters lead the discussion of selected excellent research papers or projects, fostering critical engagement and potential cooperation. This session specifically featured the most impactful research projects underway at VSB-TUO.

The objective of our participation was to formally introduce the NATURE-DEMO project to a targeted audience of research communities, innovators, and specific end-user communities, opening doors for future collaboration.

doc. Ing. Lenka Brumarová, Ph.D., delivered an invited presentation titled "NATURE-DEMO".

The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the project:

• Project Introduction and Research Focus: Defining the challenge of enhancing critical infrastructure resilience against climate change using Nature-Based Solutions (NbS).
• Main Objectives and Key Results: Highlighting the progress made in developing frameworks and methodologies for NbS selection and design.
• Timeline and Consortium: Outlining the project's schedule and the roles of the various international partners.
• Cooperation Opportunities: Identifying concrete areas where the Journal Club's audience could potentially contribute or benefit from the project's findings.

This event successfully reinforced NATURE-DEMO’s commitment to scientific collaboration and ensured that our key outputs and innovative research directions are communicated directly to those who can help drive their application and advancement.
