On June 3rd, the 3rd edition of "Propark Talks - Nature & Sport in the City" featured Flavius Țurcanu, a coach, international trainer, European Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion, and founder of Fiteducation Romania. The conversation was facilitated by Tiberiu Chiricheș, Director of Propark – Foundation for Protected Areas.
We discussed:
- The profound connection between sport, nature, and inner balance.
- The "flow" zone – that space between boredom and anxiety where creativity and performance emerge; inspired by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's "Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience" – a book available at our hosts, Libris Șt. O. Iosif.
- The importance of basic sports (running, gymnastics) for an active life.
- How reconnecting with nature can support mental, physical, and indeed, the entire community's health.
We believe that nature is not just a setting for activities, but a partner. Through these dialogues, we aim to open spaces for reflection, inspiration, and action for the local community.
