Norwegian University of Science and Technology
(NTNU) Norway
Institution name: Norwegian University of Science and Technology
Acronym: NTNU
Partner coordinator: Inge Hoff

Short description
NTNU is the largest university in Norway. We are a general university with a special focus on technology and natural sciences. Climate change has increased the problems for the Norwegian infrastructure, especially related to increased precipitation intensity. We see much more damage related to flooding and water-induced landslides. Since Norway is scarcely populated it is difficult to protect all the infrastructure and the use of nature-based solutions will be important to succeed. We will use the knowledge created in NATURE-DEMO in our teaching to create candidates with better understanding on how to team up with nature instead of just trying to fight it.
Role
NTNUs main part in NATURE-DEMO is in WP1. We are leading Task 1.2 and contributing to Task 1.1. In addition, we will oversee the quality assurance system in the project by leading Task 7.4. NTNU contributes to all WPs..
